This bread is super quick to prepare. No waiting for yeast to bloom. No waiting for dough to rise. The beer does all the work for you. Try using different types of beer to change the flavor of the bread. This goes great with soups and stews, particularly with our Barley Stew.  It also toasts nicely the next day, if you have any left over. Spread on some vegan butter or vegan cream cheese or even your favorite jelly on it for a tasty morning treat. Our Cheesy Beer Bread is simply great anytime.

3 cups all purpose flour
4 ½  tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp salt
2 Tbl sugar
¼ cup nutritional yeast
1 12oz can or bottle of beer
½ cup shredded vegan cheddar cheese
3 Tbl melted vegan butter



1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9X5 loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients well. Add in the vegan cheese and beer. Stir to combine. It will be thick and slightly lumpy.  Pour into prepared pan.

3. Pour melted butter on top of loaf.

4. Bake 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
