Happy new year, everyone! We hope that 2020 will be a joyous, health-filled, prosperous and peaceful vegan year for you and yours. After much consideration, we have decided to take a hiatus from VeganMos. As you can imagine, keeping up with 3 social media accounts with a combined following of over 35,000 followers is a lot of work. Add to this our heartfelt commitment to bring you new recipes and reviews, and you can see how VeganMos has turned into a full time (non-paying) project. The challenge has been that we already have careers, working together as we run our own podiatric medical practice. In the past few years, we’ve been stretched too thinly to feel good about the job we’re doing in either of these roles. Though it remains a passion project for us, VeganMos needs to be sidelined for a while as we refocus on our practice, and

abillionveg

Written by Posted in Reviews Comments 3

If we’re really lucky, life sometimes sends us gifts so wonderful they seem almost too good to be true. The new app, “abillionveg” is one of these gifts.

The amount of vitriol that has been directed towards us and other vegans who have publicly broadcasted that we’ve eaten the Impossible Foods Impossible Burger has been shocking. To these “vegan purists” and “vegan police”, we respectfully remind you that there is NOTHING vegan about that. Veganism is about peacefulness, non-violence and Ahimsa. It’s not about perfection and judgment.

When the Impossible Burger first came out, it was only available at non-vegan restaurants, so promoting the burger at those places made sense. But now, seeing vegans run to eat the Impossible Burger here in New York City at White Castle or Bareburger, as opposed to running to order it at Marty’s V Burger, is problematic for us.

We are pleased to announce our new tag line, “Liberty and justice for all. One meal at a time.”

Written by Posted in Main Comments 0

The gift giving season is upon us once again, so we thought we would share our recommendations for holiday gifts. We chose to call our list The Fab For…, as in fabulous for the kitchen, fabulous for grooming, fabulous for reading, etc. Let us help you make the yuletide gay and vegan.

Anyone who knows the vegan restaurant scene in New York City is well aware of the vegan food wasteland that Times Square and the Broadway Theater District is. That’s why vegans in New York City rejoiced last week at the long-awaited opening of P.S. Kitchen.

We are thrilled that we can finally announce the title and theme of our first cookbook: NYC Vegan, Iconic Recipes for a Taste of The Big Apple.

As the saying goes, it is better to give than to receive. In that spirit, and to thank our readers and followers, we have assembled a fabulous assortment of books and treats to make someone’s holidays happier and full of vegan goodness. The Vegan Mos Fabulous Holiday Gift Pack has something for everyone! In his new book, The Happy Vegan, Russell Simmons touts his so-called veganism as an ethical choice while simultaneously saying cheating on those ethics is completely acceptable. We disagree completely. Simmons’ warped redefinition of veganism changes the goal from total animal non-use, confusing the moral baseline that is the central definition of the term.
