Here is a variation on our Cheesy Beer Bread that make it a perfect fall treat.  We replaced the beer with hard cider and added in some spices to give it an autmnal twist. Just like our other breads, our Hard Cider Bread needs no yeast or rising time.  Just mix, bake and enjoy. It is the perfect accompaniment to a glass of apple cider or a mug of our Hot Spiced Cider. This is a sweet bread, so you probably don’t want to serve it with dinner. However, it makes a great breakfast when served with apple butter or almond butter.

Cooking time: 50 minutes
Servings: 10-12


3 cups all purpose flour
4 ½  tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp salt
2 TBL light brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 12oz can or bottle of Hard Cider
3 TBL melted vegan butter


1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9X5 loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients well. Add in the hard cider and mix well. It will be thick and slightly lumpy.  Pour into prepared pan.

3. Pour melted butter on top of loaf.

4. Bake 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
